Ochsner Medical Center
Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans is one facility within the Ochsner Health System, which includes eight hospitals and nearly 40 health centers in the region. The system is Southeast Louisiana’s largest non-profit, multi-specialty, teaching hospital that offers comprehensive services. Ochsner Medical Center, a 831-bed hospital, offers comprehensive care ranging from neonatal intensive and cancer to genetic testing and sleep lab services.
The New Orleans Ochsner Medical Center ranked as Louisiana’s No. 1 hospital in 2017-18 by U.S. News & World Report for the 17th time. The same report named Ochsner a “high performing” medical for cancer treatment, as well as diabetes and endocrinology, geriatrics, and urology. The medical center was also ranked nationally in the U.S. in 2017 for four adult specialties and one children's specialty.
