Golf can be found at numerous public and private courses throughout New Orleans. Uptown at Audubon Park Golf Course, golfers can play lush, landscaped greens amid four lagoons on an 81-acre, 62-par course. City Park New Orleans North Golf Course accommodates all levels of golfers and includes a practice center equipped with a 74-stall driving range and two grass hitting areas. Across the Mississippi River, TPC Louisiana is a professional championship course that features 18 holes and spans more than 250 acres. TPC is the only course in Louisiana to host a PGA TOUR event, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Joseph M. Bartholomew Municipal Golf Course is a public course located in the northern part of the city. This 72-par, 18-hole course includes a double-ended driving range, putting green and fully stocked pro-shop. In the middle of the City of Kenner, just west of Metairie, is Chateau Estates Golf and Country Club. The club is a residential championship golf complex offering a competitive, 72-par, 18-hole course. Situated on the West Bank, English Turn Country Club features yet another 72-par, 18-hole course with its own set of unique challenges. The facilities include a 43,000-square-foot clubhouse, tennis center, swimming pavilion and fitness center.

Across Lake Pontchartrain, on the Northshore, is Money Hill — a private club less than an hour away from New Orleans in the quaint town of Abita Springs. It offers an 18-hole championship course nestled in a piney forest. Gemstone Plantation Golf Course is located near the historic town of Franklinton, about an hour north of New Orleans, and offers 18 holes of championship-quality golf with oak-lined fairways and rolling hills.
