Adrenaline and Fun at New Orleans Motorsports Park

The NOLA Motorsports Park features a 2.75 mile track with 16 turns for race fans and racers. Opened in 2011, the park was the site for AMA motorcycle racing in 2012 as well as the Cooper Tires WinterFest, which featured open-wheel racing. In 2015, IndyCar will race at the NOLA Motorsports Park for the first time.

The grounds include karting tracks, a full service kart center, paddocks, a speed shop and a drag strip. With over 100 miles of fiber optics installed throughout the park, racers have access to some of the fastest timing and scoring equipment available.

In addition, a 34,000-square-foot trackside facility provides guests with space to hold corporate events, weddings and holiday parties. Each month the park officials host a Mustang Event — a three-hour experience of classroom instruction, safety gear, a car control session, a driver’s briefing and driving sessions. The track is often used for recreation, competitions and even for filming movies.

Plans for the $60 million Motorsports Park include an additional track along the southern side. Once the current construction on the track is complete, the full course will represent the longest race track in North America.
